people believe that calorie intake is the key component of a healthy diet and
the most important factor in determining overall body mass. While that is absolutely true, I believe that
attention must also be paid to the macronutrient content of a person’s diet
(ratios of protein, carbohydrate and fat) in order to optimize body
composition, energy, strength, and sexual function. While each macronutrient is important, I
believe that particular attention should be paid to protein consumption.
