The Venture 17 Division of Education, tutors MCAT and HESI candidates. These are students trying to matriculate into medical college and nursing school. It should be noted that most of our MCAT and HESI candidates are referred to us by local colleges and private sources as we do not provide this service online.

About the MCAT Exam
The Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) is a standardized, multiple-choice examination designed to assess the examinee's problem solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine. Scores are reported in Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning, and Biological Sciences.
All U.S. medical schools and many Canadian schools require applicants to submit MCAT exam scores. Many schools do not accept MCAT exam scores that are more than three years old.

You may sit for the MCAT exam if you are preparing to apply to a health professions school. These include the following types of schools: allopathic, osteopathic, podiatric, and veterinary medicine.
THE HESI EXAM
Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI), is a software based testing company that produces standardized tests for nursing students. There are a number of HESI tests a prospective or active nursing student may take.
The HESI Admission Assessment Exam is required by most nursing schools. In addition, many schools require students to take the HESI exit exam and some require other HESI exams during the course of study.
Most nursing schools require that applicants take the HESI Admission Assessment Exam before they are considered for admission. This is a standardized exam that measures the test taker in a number of subject areas, including reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, math, and sciences.
Some schools may also test learning style, personality style and/or behavioral inventory. The purpose of this HESI test is to evaluate whether the applicant has the knowledge and skills to be successful in nursing school and to identify areas of strength and weakness.
The HESI Exit Exam is a standardized test that nursing students may be required to pass before graduating. It is a comprehensive nurse exam that tests the student's overall knowledge in key areas of the nursing curriculum. In many ways, the HESI Exit Exam is similar to the National Council of Licensing Examination for the Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
Performance on the HESI Exit Exam is considered to be a good predictor of a student's readiness for the licensing exam.
Regarding our Proprietary Test Taking Programs; Venture 17 charges "fee for service" for this type of concentrated, and intensive tutoring. We also arrange retainership concierge contracts for longterm engagements.
For ongoing tutoring lasting four sessions and longer, Venture 17 will lower rates substantially, depending upon the student's needs financially, as well as educationally. We are here to help, and will find a way to provide the preparation needed for a serious, talented, and purposeful student. Yes, we provide pro bono preceptorships in special circumstances.
